The Air Jordan 20 (XX) with White / Black colorway were released on April 9, 2005. They feature a white and black upper, with black patent leather on the to, heel area and ankle strap. The red inner lining is constructed from some sort of velvet material. The design on the midfoot strap is modeled after the trumpets. Hatfield had visited with master trumpet maker David Monette. Nikes laser expert, Mark Smith, was brought in to design the midfoot strap. The final design is a complex tapestry of symbols representing MJs experiences and stories.
